It is a legal requirement to have a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment, many owners
get prosecuted each year for simply not having one. Not having one however is only part of
the story - it likely means the establishment is not prepared for a fire - extensive damage and
loss of many lives is a very real consequence.
A fire risk assessment, fire management plan covering precautions, responsibilities and
actions need to be in place. The Regulatory Reform Order (RRO), sometimes known as the
Fire Reform Order, requires these document as well as staff training. It is important not only
for your and your staffs safety that these are completed competently - you could find
yourself on the wrong side of the law if they are not.
All of our consultants are experienced in fire risk assessments as well as
being qualified by the IFE (Institute of Fire Engineers).
